Well I seem to have left my planner at my apartment. This week has been pretty good. Sister Borja's Birthday is today so I have planned a little get together with some of the missionaries later today. It should be pretty fun.
This is fair Warning... Next week I will not be emailing until Tuesday because of the holiday. I hope you all have fun and stay safe!
We were asked to teach a little girl in our ward the lessons before she gets baptized in November. She is only 7 but she knows so much! she has lots of really good questions and it is good practice for us teaching simply. we will continue teaching her once a week.
Joel came to Book of Mormon class on Wednesday. I think he enjoyed it we also met with him yesterday. We bore our testimonies of this gospel and asked him what his purpose was in meeting with us. The first few times we met with him he pretty much just wanted to prove us wrong. It has been amazing to see his transformation. He truly has a desire to know if what we are teaching him is true. I know that the Spirit is the teacher because there is no way I could have ever changed his mind. He was singing at his church yesterday morning so we went there before our church service started. It is so much different but the people here really love Jesus.
While tracting we met lots of really neat people! First we met a Professor who is totally interested in learning more so we gave him a BOM and we cant wait to meet with him again! We also met a man named Philemon, he works out at the same gym as the elders and had been talking to them for a while. we invited him to Book of Mormon class and he came!
Thursday we were tracting and met Lizzy! She said she has been looking for a new church and she loved the restoration when we shared it with her! When we got home we realized we had not tracted the street we had planned to and the street we did tract had been done about 8 months ago. I know that God directs our paths because if we had gone with our plan we would never have met lizzy.
I love this Gospel. My testimony is strengthened every day. As we come to recognize Christ in our lives we find that needs to be the center of it all. Everything we do hinges on him and his atonement, just as the center of this restored gospel is the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I am striving to become more Christlike and I know that as I do my very best, he will make up the rest.
I love you all and miss you tons! Have a great week!
