I'm sorry I didn't e-mail yesterday, we had transfers today so our p-day got switched to today.
So this morning I said goodbye to Sister Sellers. She has been an amazing companion. I truly love her and I have learned so much from her. She served a good 18 months and should be pleased with the work she did serving the Lord. Since I'm companion-less I'm hanging out with some other sisters while I wait for my new companion to arrive.
Yesterday was our day of service. We went to sister Tolbert's house again to help her get the home ready to be sold. We love helping members and serving those around us:) While sister Sellers was putting the last few things in her suitcase, I was cramming a bunch of stuff in a flat rate box to send home. We did awesome. Everything got packed and hopefully it was all less than 50 lbs in each suitcase! when we took the box to the post office to send home the man said you sure saved a lot of money! I fit what should have cost $44 dollars in a flat rate box that only cost her 17 dollars. Proud moment:)
Of course we visited some members of the ward and that was fun then had dinner at bishops house. to finish off the day we went tracting so that sister Sellers could do what she always thought of missionary work to be:) we have learned that missionary work is much much more than knocking on doors:)
Sunday we were blessed to have our stake president along with our area Seventy come to our ward and teach us. We learned a great deal from them. One thing we learned was about forgiveness. If we need to forgive someone do it. if we need to allow someone else to give forgiveness, do it. This Gospel is beautiful we want to share it with everyone but if we are harrowing up unhappy feelings towards others, we will have a greater struggle to share the gospel. Forgive. Christ did it and he went through a whole lot more than us. We too can forgive and be forgiven. As we forgive and let Christ be more a part of our lives, we will have a light that will want to be shared. Our message is a priceless gift and we need you, all of you:)
Saturday morning we got transfer calls. Of course Sister Sellers is going home and I will have a new companion named Sister Boehula. I think she has been out one transfer less than me. She is from an island called Vanuatu. From what I've
heard, its off the coast of New Zealand and close to Fiji. I'm excited to meet her. This is her first time in the states! I guess I'll
find out more about her today! The rest of the week is kinda a blur... We did go visit the Lees and left them with a Book of
Mormon which they seemed to really appreciate.
I'm really loving my mission. It's hot and its hard but it is so worth it. I know that our Savior loves each of you and that through him we can change and become. We will continue to become for the rest of our lives so keep on working on it. I love our Savior. I love learning and being taught by him each day. I love y'all and am blessed to have each of you in my life. Smile and Share your Light and His Light.
