This week was so fantastic! It started out a little rough but on wednesday we had a Zone DIstrict Meeting! What fantastic leaders we have they talked to us about how we were doing as a zone and that we could do much better if we became even more focused on our purpose. Sister Boehula and I went home that evening and set some goals on things we could change and do better at. Lots of prayer was included! Thursday we went out and We saw the Miracles come after a trial of our faith! We went to one street and nobody wanted to talk to us then we went to another street and started knocking. After we went to a few houses we came to a house that was divided in two apartments. We kocked on the back door and an older lady opened it just a little. we told her who we were and asked if she woild be interested inour message. She said no but I had the feeling to ask if I could share a scripture with her. Rita Sannar this one is for you! all those mornings in seminary that we recited Helaman 5:12 really payed off! I shared that scripture with her and she began to open up. she loved the scripture and asked us to come back the next day! Her name is Eloise. Then we went to the other side of the house and a man came out and talked to us. he had really good questions and accepted a book of mormon! We went home for lunch then we were off again! We walked by a home where a lady is always sitting outside and decided to go talk to her. I left a card with our number and headed off to another appointment with russel. It went well and his daughters were happy to see us as always! Keri Graham picked us up and took us to an apt. complex so we could go tracting again, though we didnt find much success there we did meet a JW who talked to us for a looong time. that night we went to see the Ishees. JJ is out of town and we wanted to talk with them about how important it is for them to become more converted to the gospel because they set the example for him. They were excited to work on a few things that we talked about and we are excited for the blessings it will bring to their lives! What a WONDERFFUL day!
The Blessings didnt end on thursday though friday We were able to place 2 Books of Mormon! One was with the lady on the porch from the day before. well really with her Grandson. he was making some changes in his life and asked to read it! yay! The other was with a sweet sweet teenage girl. She has gone through alot in her life and has come to find strength in the savior. when we talked to her about the BOM she was excited and willing to read it. We went to our Appointment with Eloise and it was perfect. the spirit was so so strong! As we were getting ready to leave she said. That we were welcome back anytime because we had a light that lifted her up! how sweet. We went to see David who is a less active. He is sister Ishees fathers brother. we told him about the primary program that was coming up and that his great niece would be singing in it. we asked him to come and to bring his brother if he would like. He said he would! Keep him in your prayers! Then we went to see Kerri to follow up on a few things. while we were there, Kimi came over! Kimmi is her sister who is less active. we are in her home often to see her mother but she never comes out. Keri was so excited to show her a video that we had shown keri's family recently and kimi loved it. we invited her to come to church and she was there on sunday! We were so happy! Heavenly Father knows where we need to be and when we need to be there! She has invited us to come to her home to teach her:)
Saturday Flew by. We went to jodi's to see what we could do to help her with her moving then Alexis had a Birthday and invited us over for lunch with her family. After we thought we would try Angela. We have been trying to catch angela at a good time for about 6 weeks... when we got to her house somebody was there so I had doubts that we would be able to teach her but to our surprise she was so willing and ready to learn! We bore testimony that this gospel would strengthen her family and that regardless of her trials in her life the Savior would help her. she also said we could come back anytime and accepted a Book of Mormon. We will go back over tomorrow!
Sunday was a beautiful day. Nancy and Kimi were both at church. After church we went tracting. We met a sweet family and we were able to teach them in their home. We gave them a book of mormon and explained that it testified of Jesus Christ as the Savior of the World. she said they are currently looking for a new church! we are going back this week:) We had dinner with jennifer and mark. they are a less active/part member family. We talked to them abot the priesthood and eternal families:) another wonderful lesson.
Well in the past few weeks we havent hardly given out any Books of Mormon but this week we placed 5! I know that it is because of the goals we had set and our purpose more in our minds! the lssons this week were great. I know that our Heavenly fathre knows us each personally. I love the work and I love this Gospel. I am so grateful that the Gospel has been restored in its fullness!
Love yall have a great week!
