Today is transfer day! No surprise I'm staying in Madison. Actually no one is our district is being transferred. My trainer has been here for 6 months already.
Lets see I wrote on Monday. Since then Jim "kinda" dropped us? he knows this is bettering his life but his wife doesn't want us meeting with him anymore. Hopefully he can remember the spirit he recognized while we taught him. We went to Brandon to pick up a new car YAY! Then we went to A Baptist bible study for young adults. I think I told you about the Baptist preacher we tracted into a while back. Well he invited us to come so we did. It was good. I think that they all were skeptical about us but as they got to know us they realized we aren't that scary after all.
Tuesday we had to wake up super early to go back to Brandon for zone conference. We were told it started at 7:00 but when we arrived at 7:02 no one was there except for Elder Edwards the fleet missionary. He said that sure enough it started at 7 but we were the first there. right after he said that a line of cars came into the parking lot. While we were getting our cars ready for inspection one sister mistakenly put windshield wiper fluid in the brake fluid spot! For a moment I was thankful for my troublesome car and that I had to figure out the basics of a car! So glad it wasn't me or sister schulties! Conference was great. We learned so much. one thing we talked about was meaningful prayer. I know our heavenly father listens to our prayers and he wants to hear from us. Ask him questions with faith that he will answer and he will! The Roberts had us for dinner and I ate pizza. yes you read it correctly I ate pizza. It was homemade so it was alright:)
On Wednesday we met Emily who is about 17 and she let us in her best friend is in the ward. her sister was also there and listened in. we talked about the plan of salvation and they really liked it. We tracted into a home where a lady opened the door and said. would you like to come in? before we even introduced ourselves! Her name is peggy. she said oh I was just talking to one of your elders at the call center earlier today. We were so confused but she explained that she knew a lot about the church and that her best friend is a member she says she really likes our church but is really busy this month getting some stuff done for her business which is why she was calling the call center, she needed to get ahold of the stake relief society president. She asked us if she could take us out to lunch sometime! yay! lunch and a lesson!
Thursday we met Karen who has accepted having us come back and teach more:) Emily had a PT appointment and had to cancel our meeting but rescheduled for Friday. we went to visit sister domico to see how she was doing and she informed us that she was moving on Friday morning! good thing we went by to say hi! We will miss her but hopefully moving away will help her do better and be able to find a job.
Friday we tracted into Vicky and Micky! they were awesome. Vicky was once investigating the church but then her husband passed away and she wanted a fresh start. they are southern Baptist no but still like the church! I was able to clear up a few questions she had:) We went to teach Emily but her mother answered and asked us not to come back:( hopefully when she is older she will have a desire to learn more!
Sunday we went to the Raytown branch its over 60 miles round trip so its hard to get out there often. We had linger longer after and ate some goooood food :) Oh and I had to talk in sacrament meeting! the chapel is supposedly the oldest standing church meeting house? it was pretty neat there was about 25 people there. all the primary kids were cousins! while tracting we met a Pentecostal preacher. She was a little scary but after we met a really sweet lady who was interested in family history work and liked the church.
Monday we met Douglas while tracting he is 7th day Adventist. he had so many questions and said he would like to read the book of Mormon and that we could meet with him again! We also saw mary who is finally out of the hospital and had been missing us. Actually I had never met her but the missionaries have been meeting with her for a long time. The Al-Haltehs had us for dinner and I ate Pizza AGAIN! I know you are all so proud of me lol. They are such a great family. They are from Jordan and LOVE the Gospel.
Well that's about it. I love ya and miss you all!
