Well Monday we had an appointment in the middle of our day. We drove out to her house annnnd because the weather was bad and she doesn't like us to come in her house right now, she cancelled on us:( We did offer to do service for her later in the week but when it came time they had to go to the coast for a family emergency. We will teach her soon! I know it! We had our 1 dinner appointment this week at the Norths. They are such a sweet family! and they made yummy hamburgers for dinner. The Elders were supposed to be teaching but one ate some milk product (he is allergic) and got sick so we taught the kids the restoration and did the cup demonstration... THEY LOVED IT.
Tuesday we had apartment checks. the senior couple that did them before went home this transfer. We loved them but the new couple was just as great! The deans came with cookies in hand and checked our apartment, got acquainted with us and then took pictures. We all had to rush off to appointments. Ours was with Rosily. We tracted into her a few days prior and she wanted to learn more. She actually has a member friend and had been to the church once prior for a Christmas devotional. Well she was raised Jewish so we talked about who Christ is. She really likes it and we will be going back soon. Oh we also taught seminary on Tuesday morning! it was great.
Wednesday was DDM. I made banana muffins for everyone. good thing I brought extra cause we had visitors again. this time it was the Zone Leaders. and also we found out that a senior couple will now be joining us in our distric meeting! we love them! LUNCH... lunch with the district is always fun on Wednesdays and the ZLs joined us. All our appointments fell through.
Thursday I had Specialized training in Brandon for all the new missionaries. I guess it was a lot different this time than usual. President met with each one separately after we had a group meeting with the APs and ZLs. I was the only new sister at the meeting. When meeting with president he asked me if I felt comfortable taking over the area. I asked if I said no would he leave sister Schulthies there? he laughed and said no. So WE are 99% sure she is leaving us on the 22nd. Which makes this my last week with her. I wonder who will be here next! We will find out all the details on Friday! We visited sister Stanford who gave us a little Easter treat:) and shared a message with her and her son. Oh also while tracting we met a sweet girl and have a return appointment with her!
Fridays we plan for the week and more of our appointments got cancelled:( but we did get to see some less actives!
Saturday we saw Mary. she is so sweet. we shared finding Faith in Christ with her and she loved the video. she said it was just exactly what she needed. We met with Jacquie and taught about the restoration. she says she has some questions for us but she gets really bad migraines and cant focus very well. While we were tracting we had a really neat experience. A woman opened the door we said who we were and asked if we could share the message of the BOM with her. She smiled and invited us in where her husband, mother and son sat on the couch. The husband had met with missionaries before and had some questions. we answered questions, testified and helped dispel some rumors. They were happy to find that we weren't as crazy as they had heard! One thing the husband recognized was that we knew what we were saying was true. they agreed to read the Book of Mormon to know for themselves that it is true hopefully we will be able to teach them again! We went to our appointment with a less active and his fiancé who is investigating:) The less actives mother was there and she isn't a member either. we had a great lesson about the importance of reading, praying and going to church. WE found that they are finally praying together as a family, something they have never done before. and on Sunday John was at church!
Sunday we taught the Beehives about the apostasy and the restoration. there were only 2 girls but it went really well. In the evening we met with sister Berthelson. I love teaching her because we always learn so much and she loves having us over:)
Its been a great week and i'm loving it! I love you all so very much! and miss ya!
