Lets see.... Have I told ya'll about Jodi? Sister Sellers and I tracted into her awhile back and when she came out she started talking about Utah and how she was hoping to move there. We didnt get to share much with her but she knew exactly who we were and after talking for a while we gave her a mormon message to watch and exchanged info. when we left sister Sellers and I both said she will be mormon one day! Well later that week we got a message asking us to come to her sons birthday party. we went for a little bit and she introduced us to everyone then we had to go to another appointment. We decided to visit her again before sister Sellers left and we brought her and her family a Book of Mormon and The Family: A Proclamation to the World. SHE LOVED IT! They asked us Questions about what we believe it was wonderful. Well we went over again this past Friday. She is moving to Utah at the begining of October. Again we got to share a little more. Saturday I got a message from her saying, "...I really would like to hear more of what you believe. I am inspired by your faith and family stories. You have certianly encouraged me." What so so exciting! We cant wait to go back on thursday to help her pack and teach her more! They are a wonderful family!
We also got to go out to see Nancy. She's the less active who we found after we recieved a letter from headquarted saying she might live at an address in our area. Well bishop met us over there and the lesson went amazing. she hasnt been active for 7 years and had no contact with the church since she moved here 7 years ago but said she would like to be active again! so we arranged a ride for her and she was at church sunday and loved it. Yay!
Yesterday while we were tracting we were in a neighborhood we felt like we should be in but after the first few doors people said our church had been there recently. I was wondering if that was really where we should be when we came to a house where a man was checking the plants outside. I asked if he lived there? no. did he have a minute that we could share something with him? no he was busy and needed to check on some other houses. Okay well I was getting ready to go to the next house when I had the thought to tell him who we were. When I did he changed. I asked if he had heard of the church and he said he had been baptized into it when he was living in washington but doesnt go anymore. he wanted to know where it was so he could come again! We exchanged info and he had to go but it was wonderful!
On Tuesday we got to teach a young mother. her Name is Madison. we met her tracting the week before and the lesson went great. we will be going back tomorrow:)
So this week tracting has been hard and hot. we hadnt taught anyone through tracting all week. On saturday I prayed alot that we would find those who would hear our message and that we would go where He needed us to be that day. WE TAUGHT 3 LESSONS AND GOT 3 RETURN APPOINTMENTS! I know the Lord hears and answers our prayers but we have to listen.
Well thats that the week was wonderful. I know that The Church has been restored, that Christ lives and he speaks to our living prophet on the earth today. I am so grateful for that knowledge.
I love yall!
